The Little Things in Life

Its not your ego that brings happiness!
Your true happiness already exists in your being!

Stop for a moment and disconnect from your ego.
Observe the beauty all around you in the now.

Its the little things in life that make it worth living. A babies smile, or a child's laugh. Have you ever had a kid tell a joke and mess up the punchline, but its still funny. Sunsets, clouds, hanging out with a friend. Your favorite song or watching your favorite movie under a blanket on a comfy couch. Spending time with the family, and that break away while at work. These are some of the little things in life that we cherish.

What's amazing is that we are a product of the little things. They are what makes us who we are. The sunrises, sunsets, rainy days, smiles, laughs, good days, bad days, fights, break ups, make ups. They all are the things that make us who we are.

Be at peace with what exists in this moment. Its your self, your being is where you derive true happiness from!

Be happy to be surrounded by people that you love and those who have been a part of the little things in your life. Without them you would not be the person you are today.

Develop a Positive Attitude

Fixating on thoughts and emotions, day in day out, affects all aspects of our lives. Learning to be mindful of our “internal dialogue” helps us recognize thought patterns and how they may be affecting the way we handle the situations of daily living.

Many people find that, when they tune in to their internal dialogue, much of it is negative. Negative judgmental self talk makes us critical of ourselves and others. Thoughts like, “I could never do that” and “What if I fail?” can seriously impact the way we behave. Stress, apparently associated with attachment to this negative internal dialogue, in turn, affects every aspect of our lives.

Our best personal and professional selves come from a place of self love and acceptance. When we can truly love and accept ourselves we can also see those in our world as collaborators on our path of personal learning.
